Come celebrate with us as we break ground on the Wishing Springs Trail Realignment project! Enjoy live music, food, drinks, and a special groundbreaking ceremony. This project involves the construction of approximately 2,500 linear feet of 12-foot-wide concrete multiuse greenway trail with two 14-foot-wide bridges (3 spans) crossing McKisic Creek and Little Sugar Creek to once again connect Bentonville’s greenway to Bella Vista’s greenway, with the Red Iron Bridge connection out of commission. The trail runs from a connection to an existing concrete trail adjacent to NW Wishing Springs Dr., then crosses McKisic Creek before turning northwest to run adjacent to McKisic Creek and crossing under McNelly Rd. Next, the trail continues north to cross over Little Sugar Creek, and finally, the trail connects to an existing asphalt greenway trail on the northeast side of Little Sugar Creek.
