A Milestone More Than Miles
We’re so proud of you…and you…and you. And, yes, we’re looking at you too.
Bentonville, we did it. Thirty miles in three years. Thirty miles of new bike and pedestrian infrastructure in just three years. This is a big deal for our mighty community, an accomplishment few cities can claim.
Big deals deserve big celebrations, and so do you.
Join us for a “30 in 3” year-end celebration! (P.S. It’s free.)
Thursday, Nov. 6 | 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm
215 Northwest A Street (map)
Although it’s free, please RSVP, so we’ll have enough food and drink to properly celebrate.
WHAT DID WE DO THAT’S WORTHY OF THIS CELEBRATION?
The real question is what didn’t we do?
Let’s walk, bike, drive, scoot, run through what we’ve done—and where we’ve been—over the past year, that has led to this commendable, collective achievement. All of us, working together, made great things happen.
Here’s a look at how the Coalition and our community—and yes, that includes you!—made strides in 2025 to complete 30 miles of the Connecting Bentonville Bike & Pedestrian Master Plan.
We awarded 30 mini grants to community can-doers to ramp up our mobility awareness efforts, accomplish projects and have some fun in the process.
The money (nearly $44,000 altogether) the Coalition awarded in 2025 went to community projects that promote street improvements to enhance the city’s active transportation infrastructure.
Here’s a look at some of the projects and the people who came together to get the work done …
There were groundbreakings, grand openings and ribbon cuttings to celebrate our success in advancing a safer and more connected Bentonville.
A few events we really dug …
We also found ways to ensure all our residents could enjoy our new paths, trails and roads, including our seniors.
By collaborating with other groups, the Coalition helped bring about the creation of the first trishaw pedicabs, called a PediCycle, manufactured in the United States. (A special thanks Dan and Jan Carr, and Gnargo Bike Co. for leading the way .)
The Coalition served as thought leaders in safer, more connected communities by participating in panels, leading conversations and mentoring the next generation.
Hundreds of riders explored Bentonville’s latest infrastructure improvements, thanks to town tours the Coalition hosted.
The Coalition’s workshops enabled dozens of local businesses to complete their applications to the League of American Bicyclists to become Bicycle Friendly Businesses.
We got people up and moving with our Ride to Work Wednesdays and partnerships with local businesses, like Airship Coffee at Coler, to highlight the benefits of active transportation.
Community events and socials we sponsored brought families and friends together.
Because we believe in the power of events like this to strengthen community, promote wellness, and spark momentum around a more connected Bentonville.
2025 was a wonderful ride, Bentonville, thanks to you…and you…and you.
Join us to take a moment to celebrate our 30 in 3 achievement and hear what’s coming in the next year.
